Lyrics written by Max in the early 1980s, set to music for the 2010 release.

"I rediscovered the lyrics to this song in my files in 2008, put it to music and recorded it for the first time. I probably wrote it while at my engineering day job, at a time when I was going out every night, and the music and arts scene in San Francisco was raging beyond anything seen since. I have about an album's worth of punk songs that I plan to record and release one at a time."

Lyrics

One day I went out
For somethin' to eat
Drank twenty-seven coffees
Saw the Pope in the street

Saw the Great Wall of China
Erected on your back
Heard the trumpets blow
And the sky grow black

Saw the Great Wall of China
Encrusted with lime
And snakes and laundry
Tossin' in slime

Saw the Great Wall of China
Holdin' you down
Drivin' you and your loved ones
Deep underground

The Great Wall of China!
The Great Wall of China!
The Great Wall of China!
The Great Wall of China!
