Written by Max in 1980, and newly arranged for the album Take Me Up.

"I went straight from small-town high school in the middle of cornfields, to college in the center of slums on Chicago's South Side at the peak of the Black Power movement, when anti-white hostility was rampant. I was mugged by a gang of black children in a crowded public park, constantly taunted and harassed by young black men on the street, and warned by older black men not to take public transit out of the neighborhood for fear of losing my life.

"I wrote this song and the rudiments of instrumentation via multiple overdubs bounced between two cassette decks, and it was performed by Terra Incognita at our debut show at Club Foot in February 1981. In 2009 I created this full arrangement."

You can't hide
inside
You can't hide

You can't hide
inside
I know
I tried

Come on over whitey
Come on over
