Max has written a novel, several book-length manuscripts, dozens of short stories, and hundreds of poems, winning a literary award in Chicago for one of his stories. He has numerous works in development for publication.
With the advent of digital media, he participated in the movie industry and the dotcom boom and self-published a series of stories and memoirs in pamphlet form, reflecting his passionate curiosity and the dramatic range of his life experience, from a pastoral childhood to a bohemian adulthood, from wilderness science and primitive survival to the high living and hubris of media entrepreneurs and the super-rich.
